I am the CEO of St. Vincent de Paul CARES (“SVdP CARES”), and I would like to update you on the merger with the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition (“CCHC”), which became effective August 1. As you know CCHC has been an integral part of ending homelessness in Charlotte County since 1989. It was an honor to be invited to carry on the longstanding tradition of services to Charlotte County’s most vulnerable citizens under the name “Charlotte CARE Center”. We feel privileged to be able to honor the legacy of the CCHC, and those who contributed and worked to build it into a beacon of light for the last 35 years. I promise you that the Charlotte CARE Center will continue the rich tradition of loving and serving those who are living in poverty, experiencing hunger, and facing the crisis of homelessness. I hope to converge the loving resources of SVdP CARES and the local St. Vincent de Paul community to bring about permanent solutions to poverty, hunger, and homelessness. I hope you will choose to stay connected to this mission and be a part of the Charlotte CARE Center and SVdP CARES family as we continue this important mission. I can assure you that your support will remain dedicated to supporting people in need in Charlotte County through the Charlotte CARE Center. I invite you to visit www.SVdP.CARE to learn more about the work of SVdP CARES throughout its 19-county service area. If you have any questions, please reach out to Merrell Dickey, Chief of Development, at merrell@svdp.care or (727) 201-9875. Sincerely, Michael J. Raposa, CEO P.S. We are thrilled to share some exciting news that marks a significant milestone in our mission to alleviate and prevent hunger and homelessness. The Charlotte County Homeless Coalition is combining forces with St. Vincent de Paul CARES (SVdP CARES) to bring the realization of ending homelessness to life. By joining forces, we can streamline our efforts and change the trajectory of the lives we touch. This strategic alliance will elevate our ability to enhance care for our neighbors in Charlotte County and end homelessness for US Veterans, families with children, and individuals, making it Rare, Brief, and One-Time. St. Vincent de Paul, through loving members of the Sacred Heart, St. Charles Borromeo, St. Maximilian Kolbe, and San Antonio conferences, has been caring for neighbors in need in Charlotte County since 1963. "Combining our resources and expertise will allow us to provide more comprehensive support to those experiencing homelessness," said Cheryl Maymon, Homeless Coalition Board President. "Together, we will be stronger advocates for the vulnerable populations we serve." St. Vincent de Paul CARES CEO, Michael J. Raposa added, “As a leader in ending homelessness with a success rate of over 80% in 19 Florida counties, it is an incredible honor to unite with the talented staff and community stakeholders of the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition.” We are deeply grateful for your continued support and generosity, which have been instrumental in our efforts to serve the homeless community. This is a tremendous opportunity to amplify the impact of your contributions and help even more people achieve housing stability and self-sufficiency. We look forward to keeping you updated on our progress and sharing more details as we move towards finalizing this merger. Thank you for being an essential part of our journey and for your unwavering commitment to ending homelessness. Best regards, Dr. Lisa Pervin Interim CEO
